Day 1: Chandigarh to Haridwar (Approx. 200 km / 5-6 hours)

Your spiritual journey begins with a scenic drive from Chandigarh to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some rest. In the evening, attend the famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri – a mesmerizing spiritual experience on the banks of the holy Ganges. Spend the night in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Govindghat via Joshimath (Approx. 290 km / 10-11 hours)

After an early breakfast, depart for Govindghat, the base point for the Hemkunt Sahib trek. En route, pass through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Joshimath – each offering panoramic views and spiritual significance. Arrive in Govindghat by late evening and check into a guest house or hotel. Overnight stay at Govindghat.

Day 3: Govindghat to Ghangaria (13 km trek / 5-6 hours)

Today, begin your trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria, the last stop before Hemkunt Sahib. You can either walk, hire a pony, or take a helicopter service (if available). The trail follows the scenic Pushpawati River and lush green valley views. Upon arrival in Ghangaria, check into a guest house and relax. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkunt Sahib and back (6 km one-way trek / 7-8 hours total)

Start your day early for the steep trek to Hemkunt Sahib, located at an altitude of around 15,200 ft. The path, though challenging, rewards you with divine vibes, alpine beauty, and spiritual bliss. Visit the revered Gurudwara Hemkunt Sahib and take a dip in the sacred glacier-fed lake beside it. After spending some peaceful time, trek back down to Ghangaria. Dinner and overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat, then drive to Joshimath / Pipalkoti

Descend from Ghangaria to Govindghat via the same 13 km trek. On reaching Govindghat, drive towards Joshimath or Pipalkoti for an overnight stay. This leg helps break up the long return journey and gives you time to relax and reflect on your spiritual experience.

Day 6: Joshimath / Pipalkoti to Chandigarh via Haridwar

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Chandigarh. The drive takes you once again through the beautiful Himalayan foothills and spiritual confluences. Reach Chandigarh by late evening, concluding your sacred Hemkunt Sahib Yatra with peace and blessings.
