Day 1: Chandigarh to Katra (Approx. 380 km / 8–9 hours)

Your journey begins with a comfortable drive from Chandigarh to Katra, the base town for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. The route passes through the scenic towns of Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Jammu. On arrival in Katra by evening, check into your hotel and rest. You can explore the local market or prepare for the trek the next day. Overnight stay at Katra.

Day 2: Vaishno Devi Darshan (Trek of 12-14 km one way)

Wake up early and start your trek to the sacred Vaishno Devi Shrine located in the Trikuta Hills. You can choose to walk, hire a pony, take a palki, or opt for the helicopter service (subject to availability). On the way, you’ll pass the sacred points of Charan Paduka and Ardhkuwari. After darshan at the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, return to Katra by evening or night. Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 3: Optional visit to Shivkhori or Patnitop (Leisure/Excursion Day)

This day is optional and ideal for exploring nearby attractions. You may choose to relax in Katra or take a short trip to Shivkhori, a revered cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva (approx. 80 km). Alternatively, you can visit Patnitop, a scenic hill station known for its breathtaking views (approx. 90 km). Return to Katra by evening. Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 4: Katra to Chandigarh (Return Journey)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and start your return journey to Chandigarh. Reach by evening with blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi and cherished memories of a divine experience.
